Your home, when you're far from home

Ostello Bello began as a group of friends who wanted to show Milan what a hostel could be: open, warm and shared between travellers and locals. The same spirit runs through these workshops. You sit at a table with new people, make something with your own hands and learn a little local craft along the way. Each one is small, sociable and rooted in the city you've come to explore.

    In an old woodworking shop in Brera, you shape and finish your own wooden coaster, guided by the craftsmen. The evening is built around an aperitivo among workbenches and workshop stories.

    A two-hour masterclass that goes from typographic research to contemporary lettering, the language behind much of Milan's art and fashion scene. You practise the gestures yourself, guided by a lettering designer.
